Terry (Ezylay), your skipper, holds a NZ Coastal Master Certificate of competency. Is an extremely competent engineer, originally trained in the aircraft industry where failure is not accepted.
Terry has over 40 years & 40,000 hours charter & commercial fishing experience.He started out commercial fishing long-lining and targeted snapper. Then trolling for albacore and yellow fin tuna all around the north island and developed a knack for deep water Bluenose and Hapuka longlineing.Early days of marlin fishing he worked with some of the top catching marlin skippers in the Bay of Islands mastering a vast amount of information on fish & fishing gear.There are no secrets – any information or instruction on any aspects of fishing gear, or the art of cleaning & filleting fish is gladly passed on as part of the Christina Fishing Charter experience.Its been said once or twice Terry’s cooking is alright [boat rule #1 don’t upset cook]Seriously- we offer a quality menu of your choice. Also remember all the seafood you can eat – which of course you have just freshly caught – any way you want it!
We welcome charter chefs – its all part of the fun. Happy hour is a common past time on most evenings made even better with a picturesque sun set.
